What’s better than a touch interface? A touchless one! Apple introduced a multitouch screen to phones, now Microsoft is bringing NO touch interface. Sounds cool, but you might think this is a future technology and you won’t see it in your local BestBuy anytime soon, right? Well, guess what! You don’t even have to go to that store if you have a webcam. All you need is a webcam for this touchless sdk to work. Jump for a cheesy informative demo video.
Let’s wait and watch. Over the next couple of months there should be a boat-load of applications coming out from the community. (May be I’ll make one myself. The SDK looks pretty easy to use.)
From Microsoft to Apple: TAKE THAT!
Mindquarry is an “Open Source Collabrative Software”. It allows one to track and manage changes, create wikis, etc. In short, allows to “Harness collective intelligence”. Hmm. Give it a try.
In their own words: “Alfresco is the Open Source Alternative for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) led by John Newton, founder of Documentum, and John Powell, former COO of Business Objects, and is backed by Accel Partners, Mayfield Fund and SAP Ventures.”
